First off, I want to say the serving staff are friendly and attentive and the stars are for them. The ice cream is good. We have visited twice, in case we had just stopped by on a bad night. The conditions and food were the same on both visits. We had the buffet. Food seemed below appropriate serving temp. The salt & pepper prawns would have been good if they had been thoroughly peeled. Unfortunately, they weren’t and though the legs had been removed the prawns I had still had 2 thirds of their back shell intact. Pieces of that shell were also in the tempura batter. Though the prawns had been cooked perfectly, the shells rendered them inedible. The deep fried prawns had a very thick batter that dropped grease when I removed it. What WAS good were the chow mein ,chop suey, rice and chicken legs. The broccoli was crisp and perfectly prepared. There was a green bean and prawn dish that was okay. I suspect the vegetables would have been crisper if ordered off the menu instead of the buffet. Not sure though. It appears to be an older facility that is in severely in need of updating. A coating of bright blue paint had been splashed on the upper walls and above the server area. The feeling I left with though, is one of uncleanliness. The area I could see where the food is prepped and staff congregate needs organization and cleaning. The floor is mop clean. It may simply be stained, old linoleum, but it doesn’t look clean. Materials are stored in the back area and are visible from the restaurant. Some sort of covering or door should be added as it looks untidy and adds to the appearance of less than appropriate cleanliness. The rest room was unpleasant. The old linoleum is”mop bucket” dirty. There are accumulations and starting big around the baseboard, floor vent and stall bars. The stalls have been repeatedly painted, which means they make a tempting surface for graffiti. One stall had a toilet with a broken tank lid held together by several sections of duct tape. There was also a stale, urine, old bathroom smell that was nauseating. The restaurant was not busy at the time of our visit. If the cleanliness, food prep and buffet temperatures improve, it might become a decent place. As is, I can’t recommend it.

We went to this restaurant about an hour before closing but the buffet was well stocked with hot & tasty food. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
