A&W Canada

It is evident that their timers are not used. Do NOT order chicken burgers of any kind after 2pm. Unless you want to break a tooth and like the taste of cardboard. And don't thinking gravy will make it better. Also...watch for hair. After the third hair (each separate visits), I stopped going because it is a waste of money. After all, who will eat something after finding a hair?

I was recently on a road trip from my home in British Columbia to northern Alberta where I was going to visit my family for Thanks Giving. Both on the way there and the way back we stopped at the A&W in Clearwater, and both times it was the worst A&W I have ever been into. The first time we came in over an hour before closing time and nearly all of the chairs were up on the tables despite them still being open for around an hour and a half. We didn't really mind that much though, we got our food and sat down at one of the tables that had the chairs down. The entire time we were eating the two young people that worked there were speaking loudly and unprofessionally, talking about how they wanted to quit despite the fact that there were customers sitting literally like 10 feet away from them. All of the lack of professionalism aside we got the food and it honestly was the worst A&W meal I have ever eaten. The onion rings seriously looked like someone had butchered them. The batter/breading around the onion was completely cracked and the moment you even grabbed one of them half of the outside coating would just crumble off leaving you eating a little bit of the batter, but mostly just a cold soggy onion. On the way back home we just so happened to be in Clearwater AGAIN around a meal time since it was a half way point in our drive. I didn't realize that we were at the same A&W at first, simply because it was night time the first time we went in. When I realized it was the same place I thought that maybe they just had an off day with their food quality. Apparently that wasn't the case because AGAIN I got my onion rings and they looks like something out of a murder mystery. Unfortunately the A&W just so happened to be the only place that I would eat from in Clearwater since I am a picky eater. Next time I go on a trip I would rather be hungry in the car for hours than have to eat something from that A&W though.

The server Nathan, was professional and courteous to myself and everyone in my group. He displayed excellent customer service and actively worked to address every detail of my order. The order I received was accurate, and the food was hot. Would certainly recommend a stop over if yore passing through.
