Visting from out of town, some locals suggested I go get myself a Bamboo bowl with falafel. As I drove by in my woodgrain PT Cruiser, I can smell the veggies and tofu-a-cooking. I open my door and I'm greeted by rainfall, I hesitated to grab my (Highstreet) umbrella. I don't. I pull on the door. DONG. I was greeted by the worker. We talked for minutes about her favorites veggies. She suggested the Oaxaca, but I just had to get my paws on that falafel. As she was making it she said " Its really coming down out there", I said "yeh, it looks like it". "you can borrow my (Highstreet) umbrella if you'd like". I chuckled. I stared out the window and waited for my scrumptious lunch. "All done Mister!" It broke my train of thought. I walked up to the counter to retrieve my rice bowl with mushrooms, broccoli, carrots and green curry sauce. My mouth was watering as I said: " looks great, thanks for your help..." "Halle!" She blurted out. We both laughed. "Thank you for everything, ill never forget this place," I said with a hasty voice. "come back and visit anytime you like!" yelled a curly haired girl, about 5'5". I walked out the door, hearing the dong I had heard 7 minutes earlier. I unlocked the PT, opened the door, sat down, and burst into tears( the rain helped them flow). My grandmother's name was Halle, and she loved falafel. I'm not superstitious, I'd say I'm a little stitious. But I believe my gran, Halle, was with me that day. And I wouldn't have felt closer to her without the kind workers at freshii. Special thanks to Halle ( the worker), and her curly, 5'5" friend. The food was sweet, but the connection was sweeter. I don't know where I'll end up next. But I hope it has good falafel. R.I.P. Grandma Halle 1938-2018 "Never give up" Add photos

They serve me ice cold falafels after they told me they were steamed and so I went back and discovered that they cook the vegetarian stuff like tofu and falafel in the same steamer they cook meat and poultry in. There is nothing worse for a vegetarian and then to think their food has been stewing in juices of dead animals. Yuck! When I ask for a refund I have to wait around for I don't know how long waiting for a manager who was quite rude and didn't even refund me the correct amount and then gave me the line that "if I don't like it, I can take it up with head office." WOW
