Such amazing food! They are always so welcoming, as soon as you walk in someone rushes over to welcome you with a big smile. Their food is the best Japanese in Vernon. Every time they out do them selves. Always fresh! The owners are so great and run an amazing restaurant!

Moved to Vernon from Vancouver a few years ago - We order regularly from Kawakubo -excellent service and excellent sushi - beautifully presented. Gluten free options as well. We usually order Boston roll, salmon avocado or shrimp California rolls. The Boston donburi bowl is also excellent and I’ve enjoyed the curry roll as well.

Good food and a pleasant atmosphere. The rolls were reasonably priced and they have a number of good lunch combos

went for lunch and was extremely disappointed. I have eaten in hundreds of Japanese restaurants and found the food to be substandard. The rice was old and was not prepared on a daily basis. The wasabi came as a round crushed ball and was dry and hard to use. The miso soup contained all kinds of flavours that probably should not have been in a soup. But most of all, I found that there prices were outlandish and very, very over priced. The prices were the hardest things in this restaurant to digest. I am sorry but would not recommend this place.

Nice unexpected spot. Great sashimi with large slices of tender fish. Nice local cider and wine selection as well.
