Had dinner the other night not on a weekend. 7oz. Sirloin, with baked and veg. with double rum. $30.00 with tip. To be expected in North Van. Service was good. I arrived just as dinner service began 4:30pm. Parking is underneath the restaurant. Free. Only 6 or 7 spots and the entrance is one street over but nice to park close. The entrance to the restaurant is across from the library just off the square. I sat watching the 1st period of the hockey game on a big screen TV. Very nice. Recommend!

I love this place! It's always busy on weekends so try to get there a bit before the hour to avoid the rush. Although they have a lot of tables so wait times are not that bad. The staff here are exceptional. They are always friendly, helpful, and responsive. Food is good typical cafe fare. The breakfast are good and big and even though this is the "Eighties" the burgers are from the "Fifties." Fun place to go for a family brunch or a quick bite.

I came here the last Saturday of the year, in order to enjoy a 32 years tradition: "have a nice breakfast with my lover"; however what did I find? - they were super busy and clearly with a LACK OF STAFF MEMBERS in order to handle the quantity of customers. (Management problem) - I received my food with NO cutlery (I wait literally 4min in order to start eating, clearly my food was NOT FRESH anymore and I HAD TO STAND UP AND GRAB MY OWN CUTLERY, BY MYSELF BECAUSE I was ignored by 3 staff members) - and the end of my meal, I was "recommended" to tip FOR THE AMAZING SERVICE.... WHAT? Food is tasty, NOTHING DIFFERENT OF WHAT I DO AT HOME IN MY DAILY BASIS, but sometimes is nice to go out and pay for a service... when you receive it... Anyway.. I ate my food, I paid, I tipped them and I left SUPER UNHAPPY ... as you can notice.

Eighties Restaurant serves affordable, reliable comfort food. The menu is extensive and there are daily specials. This diner is ideal for brunches, quick bites and family dining. Seniors and budget-conscious diners can enjoy traditional favourites at fair prices. Conveniently located in Central Lonsdale with lots of street parking and some underground spaces. Recommended.

I love this restaurant and so do my parents. It is close to may parents place and the prices are great. The service is always free day and the food is good. It has a Diner feel to it. They had sports games on and it's the kind of place you can sit for awhile and enjoy good company and a good meal.
