Went to Merritt on Tuesday to pick up our dad with my sister and he said to bring our appetite! LOL! We weren’t sure where to eat, so I googled it and Home Restaurant comes up...I love the one in Hope, and so I thought we’d tryout this one...I had always heard that the Hope one was the best... So, it was Tuesday dinner service and our waitress was so great... really, one of the best dinners I’ve had in awhile, and I had steak and Lobster on Monday night‼️ Out Waiteress was the best really, she was great! I’ll see if her name is on the bill and I’ll let you all know...the food was great, I had a seniors portion and it was enough! I didn’t even finish everything. But always leave room for pie! In fact, before you order your food, make sure you secure your slice of pie, because they go fast!!

Unless you are looking for specialty food (like sushi or indian) this is by far the best restaurant in Merritt in my opinion. Waitstaff is well co-ordinated and supportive of each other which makes for great service and the food is excellent fare with large portions at prices on par with other restaurants in town. Was there for breakfast yesterday, had the Mountain Man Breakfast, my review still stands.

I've been going to home restaurant for many years. It's always been a wonderful place to dine. The staff is always welcoming no matter which Home Restaurant you go to.

My expectations for this place weren't very high, but after seeing the interior of the restaurant, I decided to give it a chance. I am so glad I did! The already welcoming atmosphere is improved by the friendly staff. The menu is delightful with prices to match, and their daily specials even moreso. Also, their coffee is fantastic, especially at $3 for a cup with free refills, unlike some other places. Overall, I would eat here all the time if I could. It's a shame I'm only passing through.
