The Yellow Deli is amazing. It is quaint, adorable, and the atmosphere is very mellow. I tried the deli lamb sandwich with a cup of curried yam soup and it was amazing! This food was true comfort food and made everyone at the table feel at ease. If you find yourself in Nelson I implore you to stop at this gem for a bite.

Yellow Deli always has good, wholesome food, a pleasant, rustic atmosphere, and respectful, accommodating staff. Their portions are better than adequate and I always come away feeling fulfilled. One of the best attributes about this establishment is they are open around the clock! Except Friday evenings, when their community celebrates. The other great aspect is their prices are very reasonable!! What more could one ask for?? Well they have it!! Private alcoves to meet with friends, their front room downstairs has awesome views of Kootenay Lake, in summer there is great outdoor eating areas and in winter a cozy wood fire to warm yourself in front of! The music is light-hearted, like a renaissance fair, the servers courteous and unhurried. Stop in and see for yourself!

This is one of our go to restaurants in Nelson. The food is always amazing, the staff is so warm and friendly and the atmosphere is super cozy. My favourite items are the Reuben sandwich and chef salad, oh and amazing chilli and soups. Well it's all good really, can't go wrong ;)
