We thought the food was delicious. It is a bit of a wait for the food but we did not mind as everything is homemade from scratch. Prices seemed a bit high at first but we received very large portions which include a crazy amount of high quality meat. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved the butter chicken and the skewers.

Great food at reasonable prices. Tried the lamb shank and fish curries so far (both with garlic naan) and left full and happy both times. Very good service also.

The butter chicken was recommended by a friend of ours and it was not a disappointment! The presentation of the meal was good. Meat was cooked perfect and the flavors were fantastic! Only thing i would of liked to see different would have been to have our drinks topped up more frequently. Overall was great and would definitely go back :)

Multi-Cuisine done right! I am always weary of restaurants that serve several different options as they tend not to do well with multi faceted dishes; however, The Butter Chicken Co., is the exception. Their hallmark Indian cuisine is outstanding, try the Butter Chicken Combo for a super treat and a nice introduction to Indian Cuisine. The fish and chips are super delicious. The batter is delicate and very tasty and when combined with the Chef’s homemade tartar, the fish just melts in your mouth. I tried the Cod which was delicious, next time I think I will go for the Halibut. Dessert was a creme brulee which finishes a meal perfectly because the dish is a beautiful light creme custard infused with vanilla and orange. The sugared caramelized topping cracks as it should. You can tell that this restaurant has real ‘Chefs’ as everything they produce is straight out of a Fine culinary institution. Fort St, John is fortunate that the Butter Co. has set up here because we really needed a restaurant with fantastic food that is suitable for Seniors, Children, Special Dietary needs, Couples on a Date and Friends that want to Gather for a special meal. Prices are moderate for Fort St, John, you have to take into consideration that we pay a premium in the North and that is just the reality of living here. Plus, this restaurant serves very high quality ingredients and their portions tend to be quite generous. The fish and chip meal could easily be shared if you have a light appetite. Ambiance in the restaurant is neutral (not crazy decor) with nice music. Sanitation and Hygiene is very good. Service personnel are very accommodating. The Butter Chicken Co., is now my First Choice for dining in FSJ.
