Good Sushi. Japanese owners. Take out can be slow, but a busy sushi restaurant is generally a good sign. As mentioned below, there are only a few places to sit down, so it mostly caters to take out. Prices are a bit steep, but it compares well with other places in the Valley. I've have yet to be disappointed here.

I tried the Sushi here and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered various rolls to take to a Potluck. The Sushi was a big hit. I found the service at kobo was prompt and the food was fresh. I would recommend Sushi Kobo Takeout.

It's a tiny little hole in the wall but don't let that fool you. The freshest tuna and best sushi on Vancouver island. Crafted by an authentic Japanese chef. Super friendly people as well

A tiny hole in the wall sushi place that caters to mostly take out, although there are two small tables and bar seating if you'd like to eat in. They serve only wild salmon. The sashimi, tools, and gyoza are good. I was not too pleased with the teriyaki chicken. Staff are friendly!

Sushi kobo used to be the best restaurant in Comox by far when they had their Japanese chef named Sam. The food was the most authentic tasting sushi I had ever had. Unfortunately, Sam had to leave and go back to Japan taking some of of the quality with him. I can say that sushi kobo still uses the same quality of fish making it probably the freshest sushi in the valley. The tuna is unrivaled in terms of quality. Definitely a good eat if in down town comox.
