April 2019 - Our second visit a year+ later; the place is still attractively funky, service was brusque, and the kitchen a disappointment. The feature salad could have been good; but, the pears were green (could have substituted apple or Asian pear?). The 'Irish stew' bore no resemblance to neither "Irish" or "stew". Edible but disappointing. November 2017 - Recommended - Funky in a good way. Food was local and a menu with character. Meatloaf was excellent. Lunch special was a grilled cheese made into a burger, also excellent. We returned for a light breakfast the next day.

Can you rate 0 stars? Went to Lefty's this afternoon. The host told us to sit where we would like on the patio and he'd follow us with menus. 20 minutes later, still no menus. The waitress finally noticed us, offered us menus then didnt come back with menus. after 10 minutes more we left. Not sure how the food was but the service sucked.

Service was good and prompt - I had a burger which was great on taste and huge on fries but minimal on meat. Another of us had a wrap which was big on rice and fries but minimal on the rest and two others had 'falafel tacos' which were neither and a definite disappointment.

Last two times my son and I have stopped by for a late breakfast it took forever to get food. First time they told us the eggs were questionable and had to get fresh ones. Next time apparently the poacher was 'out of water". Both times place was nearly empty. Food is still good quality but not worth the extra wait for us.

Lefty's has a gem of a server. Didn't get her name but she knows who she is. Delightfully friendly with a smile. She served me up a perfect piece of lemon meringue pie even though she's off sugar for a bit. Tall, dark-haired & 23 years is all I learned. Highly recommended for managerial training and subsequent wage hikes. Gave her a 50% tip as I was impressed. Bright future ahead!
