I want to get the negatives out of the way first.. staff is relatively polite. Though hospitality is definietly not their strong suit. But that out of the way, the sushi here is delicious. I make the drive out here specifically for their "awesome salmon roll" which is indeed awesome. Don't let the negative push you away from giving Maguro sushi try.

Fabulous, creative, sensational, and very creative. Very fast service and friendly. Everything tasted great. Will be back the next time I'm in town.

Great sushi. Very busy on weekdays during lunchtime but evenings and weekends are much slower and on off times. Prices seem high until you see the amount of food you get. Hard to not over order in this place but it’s so good you’ll be happy you have something to take home for later. I got here whenever I can. I have a hard time eating sushi anywhere else. I highly recommend it. Just don’t be in a rush to get a table during your lunch break!

I have also experienced poor service at this place. After having lived in Japan for over two years, I know what is good Japanese food and what isn't. I ordered Unagi (eel) and it was smothered with teriyaki sauce. It should have had a very light sauce on it so as not to obliterate the taste of the eel. When I commented on this, I was told, "people here like it like that". I believe the owners are Korean. In fact, 90% of all sushi restaurants in the lower mainland are now owned by Koreans or Chinese and they don't adhere to the proper way of preparing Japanese food. So, if you are looking for something really authentic, find a Japanese restaurant which actually has a Japanese chef, like Peek-a-Boo in Tsawwassen.

A nice new menu with lots of combo choices, including a sashimi one. Agedashi Tofu was a bit too starchy and the california roll a bit flavorless. Great service though and food generally quite good.
