The staff is super friendly and helpful, they don't bother you but come around often enough to check on you. The food is delicious! Very well done and freshly made! The price is a little high, even though it is good food, it is still a bit too expensive for what it is. But I have been back and will go back because everything is very delightful and set for a great dinner with a date or friends.

Great prices. The food was great, large menu with lots to choose from. They were very, very busy. Obviously because this is a small town and people get very excited about new restaurants. They deliver though too and only two sushi chefs so I can understand that waits can happen. We went on a Sunday night and didn't wait for anything except for one item but they apologized and it didn't ruin our experience, the whole atmosphere in there was very nice, but you could tell the staff feel scattered and stressed. Very understandable though! Loved our dinner can't wait to go again!

Had two special rolls, rainbow and volcano. The rainbow was very moist - too most for my liking and fairly bland. The volcano roll was supposed to be spicy at least it was tasty. Service was ok, a bit slow because they were missing staff. The special rolls were on the smallish side. I've had both these rolls in Courtenay, B.C. and they were great. The rating reflects the value compared to those ones.

Tried it for the 1st time and I will definitely go back. I had one of their boxes and it was delicious. Have to go back to work my way through the menu.

Was expecting Kelvin's sushi but was blown away by the quality of the fish and the decor of the restaurant. Best Toro I've had outside of Japan. Fresh and friendly, give this place a try if you have been waiting for 2 hrs for a space at the bar at Yamagoya
