Missed the ferry so went into town to grab some food because we had about three hours. There was live music playing which was nice, and we sat on the patio. We ordered food at about 7:40. The server didnâ€™t mention what they no longer had on the menu and some members needed to reconsider their order (typical, but would have been nice to know when previously approached). The server never approached us to check in. We waited until 8:25 to ask about our food. We explained that we were waiting for the ferry and that we would have to leave soon. She said that the food should be done in 7 minutes. It would have been nice to know that the food was going to have taken that long as most people there were waiting for the 9:00 ferry. One member of our party got their burger at 8:28, the second burger came at 8:30, another pizza at 8:31 and the last pizza at 8:34. The boxes we asked for for take out did not come with the food as discussed with the server and we had to go to the bartender inside for the bill. The boxes came as we were getting up from the table. The burger was slightly pink, and the pizza Classico just tasted like a cheese bun from superstore with 4 flakes of basil. The vegetarian pizza was 7/10, and the other burger was an 8/10. Perhaps it was an off day, but there could have been much more communication with the tables regarding the wait of the food, especially considering that most of their customers are from the ferry and need to be time-conscious.

What a disaster, the only restaurant at Horseshoe Bay, with a decent roof top patio, where you could enjoy the view and company and they have to ruin it by playing live music. Which is generally very pleasant but not at the volume they had it and by someone who canâ€™t sing. I thought maybe it was me but I clearly wasnâ€™t the only one because the roof top was empty by the third song, or screech to be more accurate. The food was good and the waitress was pleasant but would I return, no, not at lunchtime and not when the screaming banshee is playing!

The food is adequate, /if/ they ever get it out to you, but: â€¢ Their wines are priced at >4Ã— the liquor store price; many of the other restaurants in Horseshoe Bay stay below 2Ã—. â€¢ They managed to run out of French fries and salmon by 7:15 on a Sunday night, when the restaurant was only half full. â€¢ It took them half an hour to notify us of that fact. â€¢ They tried to substitute haddock for salmon in a burger. The staff were very pleasant, and I don't blame them at all for the lacking experience, but evidently, this place has management issues.

What a great find for me. I take the ferry out of Horseshoe a few times a year and had never found this place. Pizza was excellent with quick service and a cozy atmosphere. Seems to be freshly renovated. Get a seat by the window to enjoy a view of the water.
