Love this place! The wife and I came tonight for the first time, firday night the meal of the night was brisket which I had with house made Cole slaw and BBQ sauce which were incredible. Loved the carrot app which was the house special and we were blown away by. Also loved the chicken fried steak, got it for dinner but it was incredible. We enjoyed every single dish and drink that came out, I'm am currently drinking a strong but delicious rum cocktail which I would never give up on. We entered through the q and had a great time, this is supposed to be the best new restaurant in the country and as a locality can't argue that it is the best restaurant we've been to in Seattle. Please come enjoy one of the most amazing restaurants and cities in the country!

Catfish was mediocre. Turkey was very tender and good. Grits were very nice. Collared greens left a lot to be desired. biscuits were really good. Was hoping to try the fried chicken, but after waiting 2.5 hours, they sold out. It wasn't worth waiting that long for the food. The service was nice once inside. I hope others enjoy the food more than we did.

Everything was great! The pig ears are what I imagined deep fired bacon should be like. The oxtail and brisket dinner were so satisfying. The fried mushrooms we're the best mushrooms I've ever had. And to polish it all off a the bread pudding made me feel young again (Ratatouille style). I don't think I tasted anything I wouldn't want again. The drinks were all great too, especially the egg blended one (some game of thrones styled name).

4/28/18: My dining partner and I had a nice lunch at the bar counter. Ordered Mac and cheese, chicken gizzards, catfish sandwich, pork neck bones, and beignets. Everything was delicious, presented well, and had a balanced flavor. Mac and cheese was one of my favorites. In house made pasta and simple creamy cheese sauce. Classically beautiful. Gizzards were fried nicely that didn't result in ongoing chewing. Catfish lightly breaded and beautifully crispy fried. Pork neck bones were fatty and meaty, like Ox tail. Great experience and look forward to trying their fried chicken. Service was friendly and prompt.

The food was so good. Have a bit of everything and share plates. We were there on barbecue night. The drinks were exceptional. I wish they'd post the drink menu on the website so I can recall the name of the drink. Here is my one issue. They don't take reservations for under groups of 8. However they use this "sign your name in the book beginning at 2:30 Saturday so you can get on the list for Sunday" method. Out-of-towners won't know to do this. So, I'm hoping they will change this. And, let's be clear-- it won't stop me from going back. On top of great food and drinks the service is really good.
