It's in a tourist town, first of all. It has decent quality of food for a reasonable "touristy" price. For us it was about $25 per person and the taste wasn't matching that price. If this restaurant was in the city, I'd give it 2 stars. But being where it is, I think it's reasonable, even exceeds my expectations before walking in.

First thing's first: If you're from Vancouver, you need to go in expecting to pay a 30-50% premium here. From my experience in Harrison, this isn't all too unusual, whether you go for burgers, pizza or whatever. If you're looking for a cheaper place, I suggest you drive over to Agassiz instead. That said, I thought this place was excellent. As I'm a vegetarian, I went with the ten don and asked for no shrimp tempura. Everything was very tasty and just fried crispy - definitely no pre-cooked tempura sitting around until someone orders it unlike some places. Even the rice seemed really fresh. There were only two people working when I went, one making cooked dishes in the back and the other sushi in the front. They double as your servers. Nothing exceptional as far as service but they were friendly and quick. If you're staying at the motel beside this place you also get 20% off, which was why I stepped in. Would definitely have again!

The bento boxes are huge for being under $20. Most places you get 4 pieces with your meal, here you get a whole roll. The tempura was good as well and they give expensive vegetables, not the white, cheap version with broccoli and carrots. Service was fast and waitress very polite.

Generous portions of udon on a rainy day. Not inexpensive but good food and steady local traffic. Love the sign outside for U-dong
