Had an super nice server, I ordered the speacial and it was lackluster. Nothing to rave about food wise, just your average small town eatery. They had in house made desserts that looked absolutely delish tho. The overall setting was cozy with a wood burning stove to heat and rustic looking wooden front counter. A nice patio for summer ( it was snowing when we went so we opted for inside) and colourfully painted walls with local art hanging for sale.

While I enjoyed the live music for breakfast, the staff seemed scattered, our coffees took forever with no refills, and my breakfast was cold.

You can't lose here. Reasonable prices, great service and high quality, healthy dining. A treat every time! We eat here almost every time we are in Kaslo.

Came here because the bakery was closed and wanted a little sweet treat, though they specialize in things like hot breakfasts and lunches, random Tex-Mex food and pizza... butter tart was stale and crusty, so I was a bit disappointed. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

With Oso Negro coffee, great food on the menu, Nelson brews on tap, and smiling staff members, this is a truly great little cafe to stop and enjoy. They host live music often as well! Make the stop!
