Botanist is a standout feature in the Canadian food scene. The space is awash with pastels, and the furniture is stunning and elegant. The kitchen is open, which grants diners the opportunity to see the magic happen right before their eyes. With such an incredible crew in the kitchen, it's worth forking out the extra money to do the tasting menu. The bar area also has three Cocktail Lab drinks that pay homage to the elements. We ordered the briny Deep Cove and sweetly effervescent Pretty Bird. Both were beautifully crafted, and it was a joy to watch them being made with such care.

Ordered the duck breast, which was delicious but wasn't incredibly "Wow I want to come here again." Everybody at my table enjoyed their food as well. Portions are small and price is high, but that was already expected. The food presentation was beautiful, live music was great and the Botanist certainly has the perfect ambiance for a date. Servers were also nice, but did not go above and beyond. Overall, it is a good place to try but I probably won't be back.

My friend had called a head to know about the menu and make reservations and when we got their the promised menu was not available due to some misunderstanding. The manager offered us compensation and we are very grateful. The food was passable nothing too exciting. But the service was top notch. From the manager to the waiter every one was great. It's a shame the the information given over the phone wasn't as reliable.

Food is very overpriced for a place like this, you shouldn’t be surprised. Expect at least $60-70 per person. Food is tasty, service is good but I feel like the waiters are always hinting to you to order more. But sorry, my wallet is not as deep as other people in the restaurant... dessert is actually very good and priced at about $12 bucks, in my opinion it is the most worthwhile item. Good environment with a live solo guitarist who knows to cover the top hit songs using a guitar and a looper.

I've dined here on multiple occasions and each time has been amazing and memorable. The food is remarkable and has given me an appreciation for fine dining. The service is where things really make an impression, though. Each time I dine here, my table and I are treated so genuinely and beautifully. We feel like VIPs every time and it's just amazing how far the little actions the crew do go in terms of making us feel so special. This is the place I bring friends and family when I want them to be impressed with Vancouver and it always delivers.
