What a horrible experience, it should show negative one star. We ordered dinner for two and after almost an hour, the four tables of two to three seated after our order had been taken were served. Waitress apologized and said she would buy the drinks we had and that the cooks pick the tickets at random and serve take out first. It was obvious from our observation that the regulars took priority. Needless to say we walked out. On the positive we walked up the road to the sandbar cafe and what an awesome place, we will be going back there many more times.

We were camping at Qualicum Bay Resort and went in to order some Fries to go minutes after they opened at 5. The waitress had 2 or 3 tables already seated and seemed insanely frazzled by the "rush". I told her I would like to order some fries, and needed enough for a family of 4. She suggested that two orders (at around $5 each) would suffice. That sounded good to me. Order took quite a while, about 25-30 minutes (For just Fries, that's pretty long). When I got back to the campsite I could see that the boxes were maybe 1/3 full at most. VERY small portions (why such a large box?). The two orders were not enough for our family, but as it was just a side to go with dinner we had bbq'd, it was good enough. The taste however was great. They were very good, and very similar to those they sell at Costco. (Some may hate that style, but I personally like them). I was hoping for proper home-cut style fries, but was happy with what was served. If the time for them to fill the order was faster, and if the portion size was more reasonable for that of a $5 order, I would have given them 5 stars.
