Not happy with this place. Rolls are crazy overpriced - $5 for a Cali roll? On top of that I ordered 5 rolls and they were all nasty, the rice tasted like an old man's cologne. It actually tasted like an old man went out to the strip club the night before and went to work the next day and made the sushi without washing his hands. Now I have $45 of inedible sushi and they refused to refund me because the guy said "my manager is away till the end of the month and I don't fully know how to work the till." Stay away.

Great service, fair prices, and good teriyaki and sushi.

Hands down best sushi I've ever had. Made fresh right in front of us and the service was outstanding. We will be coming back for sure next time we are in town.

We ordered the smaller party platter and a chicken katsu don. I have never in my life seen katsu don served on a plate in western style portions in my life but that's how they do it there. The katsu was actually very nice and almost the perfect blend of heavy outer crunch and super soft inner meat. The rice was borderline Uncle Bens microwavable rice bowl. The waitress informed me that they were out of BBQ Salmon skin for the BC roll. I replied that either a california roll or a dynamite roll was adequate to replace it. She left and came back saying the owner doesn't want to make it a dynamite because it's priced higher in their menu than their BC roll. California it is. That was easily one of the weirdest interactions I've ever had with a waitress. So the platter arrives and I am presented with 3 california rolls, a cucumber roll, a dynamite roll, and a yam tempura roll. The california roll krab mixture was either way too heavy on the mayo or expired. It did not taste very good. The dynamite roll was decent. The cucumber roll was on par. The yam roll was under cooked. After my wife and i trying it we both noticed that it was not soft enough. We called the waitress over and explained our position and asked for a new one. She went away and returned to say that they would discount it off of our bill. I again asked for a replacement. She took away our old one and came back several minutes later with a new roll. Oddly enough the end of the roll was cooked good but the second piece in was just as bad as the first. I kinda feel like they just put the same old ones back into the middle and reserved it to us. Coming from the mainland we had some high expectations for how our sushi is made. Be it by koreans, chinese or japanese, we know the variables that each cook can offer and none of this meal fit that. This meal tells me they are struggling financially and the owner has taken a "i don't care my business is going down the drain" approach. The kitchen work reflected that and i honestly think that somebody just fluked out by pulling my chicken out of the fryer at the perfect time. They basically butchered everything else they put their hands on. Twice on one item. There are two other sushi restaurants in this town and they are both far better in terms of experience and food quality. The waitress was worth a star and the chicken katsu was worth another but this place is the gold standard for garbage sushi.
