Really disappointed with the XLB. The juices were bland and so was the filling. The pork hock in brown sauce was also lacking in flavor. I could tell just by looking at the sauce as it appeared diluted and not rich at all. The soup was pretty good. Service was good too. But the food will not earn a repeat visit.

Pretty popular shanghai restaurant in Richmond. It's a bit pricier than most other places, but the decor is nice and the food is above average. The place is usually busy and as a result, you'll really need to flag down a waiting staff if you need anything after you have ordered. Washrooms are usable, and there are designated parking spots in the indoor parking lot that's attached to the building. However, the lot is a gong show when it gets busy.

Real Shanghai restaurant. Foods are classical. Service pretty good. They have lots of parking for their customers only. There're lots of 10 people tables as well as smaller ones. Normally no need to book a seat. And price isn't too high considering the quality of food and envirenment.

Very very poor service. Table of 10, ordered 8 bowls of rice that didn't come until towards the end of the meal even after asking about it multiple times. Ordered cold sake and warm sake- the cold sake didn't come until the end of the meal and when we asked about it the server argued that they didn't have that on their menu- when it came it was room temperature. They forgot dinner items that we ordered and when we asked if we still wanted it at the end of the meal we said yes: they forgot it a second time. We were a large group so we were subject to auto-gratuity and I felt like they really didn't care about the service they provided us because of it. Beware coming to this place in a large group where you're forced to tip. Edit: bill came and there was no auto-grat. I was told there would be one before the meal. This made my experience better.

This place serves one of the best dumplings (xiao long bao) in town. I also like their stir fried Shanghai Noodles, Onion Pancake, braised pork hock and sweet and sour fish
