Visited for hotel breakfast buffet. Pretty decent food and nice dining environment. Good presentation and taste. Seems to be popular or other meals as well.

American Grill is a hotel restaurant and lounge. They have excellent North American fare though they are trying to branch out into others. The steaks are actually pretty good for a non-steak house. The service is top notch which might be a nod to the slightly higher prices you might have to pay. Decor is a mix of reds and woods, with a view of the nearby street that isn't distracting. They are close to a Canada line (maybe 5 minute walk), have paid parking from the nearby lot. If you are staying the hotel you obviously have parking. There is a bike rack nearby.

Spent a couple days in Vancouver BC recently & stopped in to the American Grille for lunch. The food was tasty! Had the blackened halibut steak on a burger bun. Super yummy! Good fries & delectable peach cheese cake.

The food was very good! Our server was great. She even brought cake with a candle for my nephew's birthday. THANKS for great service. There were 8 last evening and 4 of us for breakfast this morning : )

The steak taste was good. Service was also good. I just had to smell the smoke throughout the meal because it was not well ventilated and it was hot.
