I took my wife up to the malahat chalet for a mother’s day brunch. We had been once before and had enjoyed it...the cost if I remember was $18.95 per person...which I thought was reasonable. The food was good, the coffee was good and amazing staff. The food on Mother’s day was amazing but I was in complete shock when the bill came and it was $32.00 per person. And although you had a few extra items...I think the price was totally out of line. And to top it off the gratuity was automatically added to the bill...again totally unjustified. Total bill for 2 people with only coffees extra was $78.72...outrageous!!! You made what was a fun outing into a financial stressed situation. Needless to say....we won’t be back at I will be spreading the word to whoever will listen. I feel like I was robbed Warren Slack

View was fantastic, server was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the meal was a big disappointment! Who thought you could burn eggs, usually a safe meal to eat anywhere! We didn't get exactly what we ordered. Had to wait for management to show up to work, so that the server could comp our meal, the manager didn't even have the curtesy to come to our table to apologize. However, they did not charge use for the meal . The only reason I'm giving a 2 star is for the server and the view. We may give it a second chance and hoping the cook (definitely not a chef) was just having a bad day!

Fabulous view even on a misty day. Food was delicious, hot and came quickly. Service was excellent. They have a small deli/bakery on site. The food from the deli/bakery was good but expensive. Will definitely return to the restaurant.

Beautiful views but food is just ok. Soup lukewarm...hamburger very overcooked but they did correct both. Staff very personable
