My friend and I had a lunch at JJ’s Restaurant (VCC) once. We had an awesome experience there. JJ’s restaurant is a small restaurant inside Vancouver Community College (VCC). It owed by VCC for its students to practice cooking skills. The restaurant is only open a period of time during the day. Inside the restaurant is fancy design and the decoration is very simple. The table setting is of western style. People can see cooks who are making their food. The menu is very simple, includes Appetizers, Mains, and Desserts. All the food together are $24 person. It was a very great deal. Servers here were all students. They were very professional. We very enjoyed our lunch at JJ’s Restaurant.

Student servers are great. They are humble and professional. The food is even better. You can't find a 3 course meal any where in Vancouver lower mainland with the price they charge.

Been here many times now and in most times we visited we enjoyed the food. We are fully aware of the location is a school and all staff are students in training. The last visit was a real disappointment. The problem was not service or the cook on the food but with the menu. It was very contrived and trying to hard to be something it was not. We all orders different items in each course and each was just off on the whole dish. We have enjoyed past visits si I hope this was just a blip on the radar.

Food was a little off . But I guess that can be expected when it's chefs in training . The scalllops were good cooked right. Lamb was good and tender, mash potato was watery and poor. Dessert presentation was messy to me . A little dry was the cake.
