Have you noticed they Have shark fin listed on the menu? - - - Otherwise, everything was fantastic! Its a great location, a few doors down from the Gate of Harmony right in historic Chinatown. The rolls were super tasty! The vegetable tempura was a generous portion, and the battering was deliciously crisp. They have great pricing awesome on the large selection of vegetarian rolls. The atmosphere made for a very nice place to have dinner and a conversation; quiet and clean. The waitstaff was quite pleasant and courteous, very attentive and quick!

This is the best Japanese food in Victoria in our opinion. Also, they have the absolute best prices! Who else sells bento box's for $13.50 at dinnertime. And that includes a main item plus tempura! We've been going here since my daughter was a baby and the wait staff treat us like family now.

Shizen is probably one of the best places in Victoria for Japanese food. The sushi is fresh and flavourful, the miso soup was good, and the oyster motoyaki was great. The only (minor) issue is that place gets very busy so it can be a bit too loud, not suitable for a quiet meal.

My food did not come until everyone else at the table had already finished eating theirs 😡 had them just wrap it "to go" and left. Very unprofessional we will not be back again. While the food was great the rest left a lot to be desired.

Best sushi in Victoria. Their location is convenient right down town close to the gates of China town. I've never had a bad meal here. Service is always good and the food comes out fast. The sushi and fish is always fresh. Only thing to watch out for is that they are closed on Sunday's, I've forgotten a couple times and been disappointed when I got there to find them closed.
