The only restaurant I’ve tried that makes me feel like I’m in Japan again! The waitress and hostess were both Japanese and were very kind! I felt right at home! The food was delicious and just like it was in Japan! Also the 梅酒 plum wine was great! I’m definitely making this my go-to Japanese restaurant!

Stand alone older style rancher with private enclosed small booths, a very much style authentic Japanese restaurant. Excellent quality and variety of usual food choices. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I had an excellent time at Kappa, the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Warm sushi rice! To all those imitation Japanese restaurants out there in the Lower Mainland where’s the warm sushi rice? Well it’s here at Kappa where the food is made by an actual Japanese chef who prepares his food with the care and attention that one would expect from a culture that pays close attention to the details. The gyoza is almost as good as my wife’s (I had to say that or I’d be in some serious trouble) and there wasn’t one disappointment in any of the dishes we tried. Highly recommended!

I'm giving four based on my 2nd to last visit. The first visit was amazing CHK and beef bolth perfect thick pieces good flavor. But this last time food quality with the beef was really low very fatty small chunks instead for the thick strips last rime. Over cooked as the grill plate was too hot and the beef taste was way off more like frying pan. Chicken was good tho great flavor and only slightly over cooked
