This is one of the best restaurants in the city. We went for our anniversary dinner and it was such a great experience from the moment we stepped out of the vehicle until we got back in it. We got there and our table was ready, our waitress was great and came out with 2 glasses of champagne wishing us happy anniversary. Throughout the rest of the evening everything that came to our table was just amazing. The food could not have been better and our dessert dish was such a nice touch. I think we'll make the VG a tradition

I feel a need to do a new review. I have in the past given the Velvet Glove (Though renamed VG Restaurant) 5 stars. It continues to hold it, but I feel more firmly now. I've been back to the restaurant twice since Tim Palmer has taken the lead. They now have a new chef named Daniel who joined them about 3 weeks ago. My meal tonight was outstanding. It was part of a special menu (the local authentic experience). Aside from the service going above and beyond, the food plating, presentation and flavors were all fantastic. Its been a long time since I've had a meal this good in Winnipeg (my other recollection would be Segovia which is in the Canada's 100 best list) Their price point is also friendlier than some other high end restaurants with comparable level of quality. Dinner includes parking. Lunch does not. Dinner is only open Friday and Saturday.

What a fantastic place! The lounge is beautiful and comfortable with tons of drink options. Servers are kind and polite and the food was fantastic. I had their burger and it was definitely one of the better burgers I’ve had. French fries were excellent as well. Would definitely come back! Also a great place for business lunches or meetings!

Had a fantastic dinner with my family. Our waitress Jazmin was very friendly. The chef Jeet went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying everything.
