For a student currently studying in the University of Manitoba, Degrees is a good place to go for some down time when you wish to have your lunch and if by chance you are studying late, for dinner as well. A place that is fair trade and even has some halal options which is absolutely wonderful. All of this and they still try to keep the place price competitive compared to most other establishments. They have some pretty solid deals when it comes to breakfast in particular. The seating environment is great, the staff are friendly and the food is well satisfying. The only thing I would say lacking would be more halal and kosher options. Considering there is a great number of muslim students on campus, it will definitely go a long way in attracting many new customers. I for one can certainly say how much I would be thrilled if they managed to get halal chicken fingers. All in all, great place , great staff and good food. It is even more admirable that they try to maintain this establishment; fair trade and environmentally sustainable which deserves some props. Would highly recommend for at least trying out if you are on campus.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! I ordered a mushroom burger but ended up getting a burger with vegetable sprouts in it. I mean, I wanted a MUSHROOM BURGER but didn't see a piece of mushroom in my burger. To make it worst, It was paired with a rice. Who eats a burger with a rice? It was my first time coming to this restaurant, he could have asked me at least if what side I want to be paired with my burger. On a side note, I went back to the counter to order a drink but I stood there waiting for somebody to take my order but apparently the guy who's supposed to take my order chose to chat with other customers who have their orders taken. I've waited for the guy but he seems like he wanted to really ignore me so I ended up walking away. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!

I went here nearly every morning for the 5 years I worked on campus. I can not express how grateful I am to the staff of this insanely busy restaurant! Great, well priced food and drinks. Responds to customers. They serve my favourite coffee at a very competitive price. Shout outs to Woods, Erica, and Chad for holding down the fort. I'll miss you all! Let me know when/if you ever need a hand in the gardens in the summer (yes, they grow a lot of their own vegetables, too)!
