I'm not a vegetarian but decided to give this restaurant a try anyway. The food portions are large and you get full bang for your buck. The meal I had was very filling and surprisingly tasty. Customer service was pleasant and accommodating. Overall I recommend it just to try something different; and to take you out of your comfort zone if you're an omnivore like me. You won't regret it.

We decided to try this place after hearing many good things about it and seeing the fine reviews. I found a menu on Zomato and ordered some items using that and what some people across other review sites suggested. We ordered 6 items and when I went to pick up, I was blown away that it was $80, but I figured what the hey. When I got home and unpacked the food, I was super annoyed because three items that were $12.50 - $13 came in small containers. The other three were in larger containers that were brimming with food, but they were around $14-$15. However for fried rice, fried noodles and mushrooms, those are low cost ingredients. I'm giving 2 stars because the food did have good flavor and was hot, but for $30 less, I would have been happy to have gone to other Chinese restaurants for good flavor, real meat and more portions. This place obviously puts a premium on vegetarian/Buddhist Chinese food, but Affinity has much more reasonable prices.

This is one of the only all vegan restaurants in Winnipeg and it has been an institution in the city for 30+ years. It is one of very few restaurants committed that doesn't add MSG and allows you to taste the true flavours of the food. Love the hot and sour soup, szechuan eggplant and silken tofu dishes. It's a great restaurant for vegans and meat eaters alike.

I'm not a vegetarian but I love vegetables and Chinese food, the food is great and the place is extremely clean and well kept, you can't tell from outside, but inside is even elegant in its simplicity. Very recommend.
