Hamburger done right. Not a factory pressed meat thing but a nice delicious patty that tastes just right with bacon and cheese. Poutine was salty but it was pretty damn tasty. I'd like a bit more cheese on it. Location is pretty plain and you could walk right past it easily. But don't. It's a really good dinner meal. Street parking only. Washrooms are down stairs.

We stumbled on to the White Star when we were looking for a quick bite in the area. Love the atmosphere and decor. A throw back to the 50’s diner - love it! The burgers and fries were excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We have recommended this place to our friends.

I was a customer at the Albert street location from the moment it opened, and have never regretted a meal here! The new location on Kennedy is great, good seating, friendly open atmosphere, and the food continues to be amazing. The blackberry balsamic milkshake is the best thing ever! I love their veggie Reuben (tomato instead of corned beef), the pulled pork is awesome, and they make the best coleslaw I've ever had. The owner, Bruce, accommodate our work party of 12 for dinner last week, and everyone raved about the food and service. Thanks White Star!

First time today going here but I'll tell you this, I'll be back. The food is absolutely excellent. The decor is intriguing to look at. A very relaxed atmosphere with a very friendly staff and owner. The menu has a wide variety of things to choose from. So many that my decision was hard to make.

I've heard a lot of good things about White Star Diner. I really enjoyed the unique decor, gives the diner a nostalgic feel. The staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. I ordered the bacon and mushroom poutine, and it tasted good, but was only lukewarm. Another positive is that they have a huge variety of milkshake flavours. I had a black currant balsamic milkshake, and it was a little disappointing. It could've had more flavour, and it was served in a metal cup. A milkshake glass would've been better. All in all, the experience was mediocre, but I would be open to trying them again as these issues were all easily fixable.
