A must go place in town if you like seafood. The captain 's choice is the best combo I ever had. So fresh so tasty. If you don't like seafood don't waste your time and money.

We were the last customers to arrive on a quiet Friday night. The decor is very quirky, full of fishing nets, buoys, and other fishing equipment. The waitress was extremely friendly, and service was excellent. The food portions are MASSIVE. We ordered the lobster roll platter, scallops and chips, and fisherman's platter. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amount of food we got. The lobster and scallops were succulent, and the fries were well seasoned.

I expect a few things for a basic restaurant experience. One is that the staff are knowledgeable about their menu and the other is not to wait an extended period for my food. We ordered a salad, fish and chips, and a shrimp cocktail. Unless they are fresh caught after the order is placed, none of these items should take long to prepare. From the time we ordered until we received our meal was 65 minutes. A family member inquires what type of shrimp could be added to the salad and was told it was raw shrimp. This was also the case with the shrimp cocktail. She was quite insistent that it was raw. Being quite skeptical that any traditional fish / lobster restaurant would serve raw shrimp on a salad or shrimp cocktail, I ordered the cocktail. It was actually quite tender, tasty, and cooked, thankfully. The fish and chips was tasty. The salmon that was ordered with the salad was "steamed", and was extremely tasteless. When we enquired about the length of the food preparation and stated we would need to leave if it wasn't underway, a male approached (maybe a manager) and angrily told us it had only been 45 minutes. It had been 60 by that point. It did come shortly after. We had to seek out our own utensils, the food was not served simultaneously and we were not offered beverage refills. We did ask for water refills once the food arrived, but no service was provided during our wait for food. I don't care how good the food tastes, if you get this frustrated with the service, it sours the whole experience. The table next to us also waited an hour for their food and made a point of showing us their shrimp was cooked when it arrived. We bonded over the experience. The table behind us was well into a lengthy wait by the time we left. Two out of three tasty meals just wasn't worth it.

This is a quaint little seafood place right by the water great for tourists and locals alike. They have lobster traps and fishing nets on the walls and old wooden tables and they do seafood right. Lovster rolls and fish and chips are great and exactly what you are looking for.

They need to read the reviews on Yelp !!! Read what the american tourists are saying. Not the locals.
