I have been going to this sushi joint for years and will continue to come back for the foreseeable future. I was immediately taken by the unique ambiance of the restaurant being hidden under the street itself. The building is at least one hundred years old and you dine next to the exposed rocks of the foundation. The staff are always very polite and the portions are huge in comparison to many other local sushi places. My favorites are the spice crab roll and dynamite roll, but I also love their avocado and California rolls. The appetizers are great and everything is very well priced, especially considering the size of the portions. I highly recommend this place for both their lunch and dinner menu's. The place has been around for years and there is a good reason for it. The only downfall is the size of the space for dinning. It is literally underground and if your like me, 6'5", you need to duck or you will hit your head... trust me on this. But the one dent I have in my head is totally worth the food.

I love the lunch specials, they have some great offerings, maybe the best sushi lunch special in the city, but I would not recommend it to anyone in a hurry. The food is really good but it takes its time to arrive. The restaurant itself is fairly unique, being entirely enclosed in the "basement" of the building. Don't be intimidated by the front door, if it seems heavy, it does open and then it's just a matter of not tripping through the curtains. Also they have really good sushi pizza here too, as it's a sizeable one.

Good sushi and friendly staff. The location is hidden away and can be a tough to find the entrance although it is all marked. But once inside it is an interesting layout in a almost tunnel like network

Great food with reasonable price, great service and it's a great selection of choice in menu. The interior design of the restaurant is interesting too, it's like a maze in a cave, I think it's very creative.

I'm always amazed at the portion and size of shashimi, always very generous slices. I use take out more than eat in, but honestly both options have offered great speedy service. Will always go back.
