Came in her for a lunch because my boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town. Several people recommended this spot for lobster. We sat on the enclosed patio which was amazing because it blocked the wind but you still had a beautiful view of the water. The lobster dip was AMAZING. my boyfriend had the lobster and loved it. Our service was quick and friendly. Can't wait to visit again!

The restaurant is located in the harbour. The view is great. The service is excellent. The food is magnificent. We have ordered lobster meals. The lobster is at least 1.5-2 lbs. it’s cooked just right. The cole slaw and potato salad are yummy. The apple crisp is on the sweet side but it’s still good. The buns are cold but upon request the server sent them back to be toasted. I had difficulty in cracking one claw and the server helped me to cut it. Overall I’m extremely happy with Murphy’s. I’ll definitely return.

My first meal in Halifax. A lobster roll, fries and Mussels served with an ocean view. Its a perfect tourist location, with tourist pricing. Nice decor and very friendly staff.

The service was excellent, atmosphere excellent, however food was terrible and so overpriced. I should have said something at the time but didn’t:(. Lobster was not bad, but watery, and the tomalley was so liquidy it got all over the place - I have eaten a lot of lobster- never had this happen. I had a Lobster the day before in Alma - what a difference. I give the lobster dinner a 2 out of 5 - overall - corn was cold a so tough couldn’t eat it. Know it’s not corn season - maybe they could have served with a vegetable more in season . The mussels were also not very good - very fishy tasting, sauce also was only about a 2 compared to one we had 2 dys earlier at the Delta in Fredericton. Overall I gave this a 3 only because of the excellent service and atmosphere
