I'm here now, not very impressed. I understand they were understaffed so I won't comment on the extremely slow service, not a huge deal. I ordered the steak after the waitress explained how tender it was, I ordered it medium rare. When it came I noticed it was well done but was going to attempt to eat it anyway as I didn't want to wait for them to make me a new one or get a new meal all together. It was way too chewy so I didn't eat it. My fiancee got his medium rare and his was really chewy as well. They cheap out on the veggies as I got 2 small slices of red perrer and about 3 or 4 pieces of broccoli. Definitely not worth the $80 that we spent.

My partner and I have been here once before, it was not at all the greatest experience. However! We decided to give it one last chance since we were in the area, completely different! Our attitudes about it have pulled a full 180°, the food was amazing, the server was fantastic, and we decided a third visit will most likely happen!

Great staff, great food an environment. One of my favorite dine in restaurant. Great place to go to for lunch. 2-5pm menu is awesome. Highly recommend here.

I' started going to Applebee's in Ajax about 10 years ago when my kids were younger. We often went there for family meals and it was an acceptable experience, but I do find that I don't enjoy it nearly as much lately. The ambience is fine, the wait time is normal, the staff are unremarkable, but I have left there several times telling myself that I won't go back. From time to time I think i'll give them another chance, but I always leave feeling unimpressed and never have that 'what a good meal' feeling that I get at many other restaurants. I won't be rushing back any time soon.
