This review centres around their fish and chips which I find to be of good value. No comment on other menu items. Waitresses have always been nice and child friendly. Kid's eat free on Sunday adds further value. Place looks almost exactly as it did when it was a Joey's seafood. Note that carry out promos are not available for dine-in.

I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS! VERY disappointed with this place! My family and I went by recommendation of a previous employee, who spoke highly of the service, the high standard of care and quality of food. To our surprise the owner was there and seemed very pleasant until I mentioned our recommendation. The owner then proceeded to bad mouth his previous employer, calling her out of name and using vulgar language, insisted on calling over the poor waitress who looked so embarrassed and ashamed. My husband could smell alcohol on his breath and that is when we realized we should just eat quickly and leave. Very unprofessional to say the least. The way he constantly harassed his waitress was a good enough impression that he didn't respect her. We won't be recommending this place to anyone and will be sure to tell our friends and family to steer clear of this disgrace.

Tuesday is all you can eat fish and chips day. I have gone on almost every other day of the week as well but the found the best value for money on Tuesdays. Sundays are kids eat with adult meal purchase (value of around $6). Before (like a year or so) the size of the fillets, serving time, and staff behavior in response to refill requests was good but there is a decline in all three aforementioned. I will still go there, when I really want to eat fish and chips, and it's a Tuesday but not if other choices are available.

This place serves up delicious food and lots of it. I genuinely felt like the staff working there valued my family's business. The only disappointment for our family was that it was not licensed to serve alcohol. The menu has a variety of options, great taste and quantity, reasonable price and genuine service. In this humble reviewer's opinion, it's perfection for fish and chips and a family friendly establishment. I need to suggest this place more often.

Still the best place in Ottawa for fish and chips. Year after year Digbys is the best tasting family fish and chips diner. Great food, nice people and fair prices for a delicious meal.
