It's your typical Mandarin. Basically the same as the others. Clean place, food was wide selection. Usually busy at standard times. Prices are a bit steep, but the variety kind of justifies the price. All you can eat, and deserts too.

Arrived at 2:15 and was informed that the buffet closes at 3:00. Was served as if it was noon! All dishes hot and available. Staff friendly and accommodating. Did not feel rushed. At 5 min to 3:00 was politely told that if I wished to visit again I should do so now. Well done Mandarin!!

If you want an express ticket to the depths of food-induced self loathing, Mandarin is the place for you. The large buffet severely tests the limit of your stomach capacity and sodium tolerance. Cheery staff whisk away near-empty plates, as if to dare you to take another lap. Which you inevitably will... more or less until you hate yourself. The koi pond will only sightly, and very temporarily, reaffirm your faith in all that is good. The car ride home will be quiet.

I just got off the phone with the restaurant to see if they served any foods that were suitable for vegans, as I was planning to make a reservation for an upcoming birthday. They suggest online to directly call the restaurant to inquire about certain dietary needs, but the person I spoke to, Jeanette, was completely unhelpful. She mumbled that she thought "some of the food was vegan. Like, maybe the spring rolls?" And when I asked her if they contained any eggs she said she didn't know. She then said that there's a nutritional chart at the restaurant that you would have to come in and look at in order to know for sure. I told her that because we would have to be charged to eat in the restaurant, it would be helpful to know the foods in advance so that the person wouldn't be charged $30 to find out there was little they could actually eat. When I asked her if there was anyway she could look into this for me, I got a lot of "umm... uh...maybe..." and a lot of giggling. Completely unprofessional. As a restaurant, especially these days with so many dietary restrictions, it would make sense for the nutritional guide to be posted on your website or for there to be a chart of accepted foods for common dietary needs with the person who answers the phone. Shame.

We had a very nice dinner. The one who looked after us, her name is Annie, is very nice and made sure that we had a great experience. Food is great. Will definitely come back here.
