Worst customer service at this place. Knowing that the service is not good by our past experiences we were still going there as this place was near to our home. But the last few experiences really made us angry. Staff does not have any courtesy training. It appears that they just dont want to work there. There is no manager at the restaurant, if you have any issues or feedback - good luck. No one is there to listen. I am surprised that whoever is the business owner does not care about the business and gave this place to bunch of incompetent employees. I feel bad as we really liked the food and that is why we were going there but now reach to the level where we decided to that we should not spend money at this establishment. I am sure pretty soon they will loose sales and will be in difficulty to run the business

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought Bombay Chicken on Good Friday. Everyone who ate that food was sick in the house. My children and husband and I ate this and all had Salmonella poisoning. I can’t sue them because we didn’t have any food left over. This place needs to step up the hygiene level. I’m never returning or investing my money in this place. Our Easter long weekend was spent in the bathroom.

The food here is good. Was our go to place in Whitby for lunch for a decade. And then the genius that runs this place decides it’s a good idea to prevent us from ordering the lunch specials. Why???? Well it’s Valentines Day of course. It’s a take out order for the boys on the job , not a romantic lunch in the restaurant. Well then I start reading the reviews while eating our no longer affordable lunch and I see the problem. Terrible Ownership. Horrible customer service = Terrible Ownership. Indifferent staff = Terrible Ownership. Brilliant strategy to grab some bucks on take out orders on Valentines Day = Terrible Ownership. The best thing that could happen to this owner..... Competition. An end to your little Hakka monopoly. The Markham location has at least 4 very good Hakka places to contend with all within a minutes of their door. Whitby we can only hope. In the meantime enjoy the 1 star review. I know the owners won’t care. They are obviously too arrogant. Here’s hoping you get out of the restaurant biz. Or perhaps the health department will eventually shut you down if we are to believe the many reviews.

We have been going to Tangerine since the first restaurant opened many years ago in Scarborough. The food was great...then. Today the quality is nowhere as good. The service has got to be one of the worst, the staff just does not care about their customers. We recently ordered food (5 dishes). We ate on Saturday, my husband had leftovers on Monday and found a piece of metal in his food. We called the restaurant right away and all they could talk about was they will not replace all the food. REALLY, not even an apology. They obviously don't care about their customers. I called the Health Department, they will investigate. This is what the manager said when I told him we would contact the Health Department 'People always say that, and they never do' I encourage everyone if there is an issue with any restaurant, follow up with your local Health Department, they are very accommodating and quick to get back to you.

Awesome place with cheaper price the staff is really friendly the place is clean really good place to hang out with friends and family.. TASTY....
