The food here is always just so very delicious. Simple dish concepts make for very tasty meals. The menu changes often, which is great. I love not know what will be on offer every time we go. They also have a blind option where you are completely unaware of what's to come. Great choice to pick for the adventurous types. Be sure to leave room for dessert.

This menu is gorgeous. It's amazing to see a restaurant that is over a decade old still offering an innovative and exciting in its approach to food. The cocktails are balanced and well thought out. The desserts are unreal. The menu offers a chef's choice for both an appetizer and a main if you are feeling adventurous.

Not a bad restaurant but extremely overpriced for slightly above-average fare. That being said, that's pretty common in Ottawa. I had the special, which ended up being fish (just cooked, not particularly well) on a bed of cucumbers done 3-ways. There's a reason why cucumber is never served warm......my plate had strips of grilled cucumber which is probably one of the only ways the vegetable should be NOT cooked. The rest of the dishes were fine, but almost as if someone had randomly thrown the ingredients together...Instead of attempting "new" ways of serving dishes maybe Allium should first learn the basics - seasoning and taste pallets.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The service was attentive but not overwhelming, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, and the food was to die for. I absolutely will be back every time I visit Ottawa.

Monday nights is tapas nights at Allium. Great atmosphere, food is good, had a variety of tapas, such as white fin tuna, pork belly balls, mushrooms on toast (amazing) and my all time favorite Mac n cheese. Service was good and atmosphere was very nice.
