Really lovely local restaurant run by the charming owner, who also paints all the artwork. We ate here two nights in a row it was so good. Delicious food, the cream of tomato was a particular highlight, as was the bread served with everything. Eclectic menu with a great variety and everything was simple and delicious. The rice pudding for dessert was yummy. We'll be back if we're ever in the area (and hopefully to buy some art!).

Quaint, unassuming bistro that delivers huge value! Susan is a pleasant, attentive host and goes out of her way to make sure her guests are comfortable and well served. The food is attentively presented and delicious. A must stop in Bancroft.

We ate dinner here on Friday, June 30, 2017. I can only assume the lovely woman that served us was Susan Dunlop, one of the owners. She was so warm and welcoming. The restaurant is very small, adding to its appeal. It is beautifully decorated, with Susan's impressive art on the walls. The menu was intriguing and we wish we had had more of an appetite to try many things. We started with a fresh, homemade tomato soup. It had such a depth of flavour and tasted sweet and fresh. For my main, I had the salmon crepe (sans shrimp) and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I had been hungry enough to finish it. I highly recommend this restaurant. We plan on visiting cottage country again in August and will hopefully be able to dine here again!
