Order a coffee and soup with my salmon dinner. Received the dinner approximately 30 minutes. They forgot the soup. Not once while eating my dinner did the waiter come to my table. Very dissatisfied. Paid for the bill and left. Never again.

The service was great. Kate was my hostess. She went above and beyond for us. I love the makeover the restaurant recently did. I also really like the new items added to the menu (especially the poutine).

Great food as always and excellent service. I give a poor review due to the newley renovated dining area ( if you can call it that) our table was only 6 inches apart from the next table so it felt like we were at the same table. No privacy at all, we felt like horses at the trough. Not going back again for a long time. Whoever designed this needs to be fired.

Went here on a date night with my wife. Booked through open table. It was nice that we actually got our table as soon as we walked in. The server was awesome and accommodating. The food was lacking however. Steak was chewy and shrimp tasted undercooked. After the food was set we never really saw our server. All in all would I go back there? It would be a split decision.

Before Jack Astor’s South was our go to spot weekly, with friends, or family etc. We’ve noticed a huge change with our last visit. Wheather it was because it was a weekday we went instead of a weekend? I’m not to sure, but the restraint wasn’t busy at all, way more staff then there were customers. My mom sister and I were out to celebrate a pregnancy and our waitress was quite annoyed with having to come back three times for our order as the menu has changed and we were trying to decide on what to try, When she came back to take our order we would get eye rolling, no smiling, she seamed super annoyed with us, which usually if we had this problem people would laugh it off or smile and say no problem they would come back. We put our order in and when we got it we decided on trying the new chicken tacos, ours came out burnt and with hardly anything on them. Maybe one strip of chicken? We waited for our waitress to come out to say something as all of our food portions were noticably smaller then usual, and she didn’t come out, not to check up on the meal or see if we needed more drinks, we had our meal without a drink as we had all finished them, my mom ended up giving her last bit to my sister. When she came out next it was just for our bill, she didn’t ask how it was, if we needed a refill or even ask if we would like desert etc, just came out with our bill and the machine to pay, I am a former waitress as well therefore I won’t share her name public it may have been a bad day for her but that still isn’t a excuse. This is the only time we were extremely upset with service. Usually we have no problems here at all we love all of the different food options, and usually the service and unfortunately because of this we may be driving to a different location
