This place was filthy. Greasy tables. Juke boxes at booths were dusty with crumbs from meals served long ago. Waitress was unfriendly, short with us - a smile would have been nice. Trays full of dirty dishes piled up next to the cash register where we were checking out. We started feeling ill about an hour after eating there. Not surprised we were the only ones there eating at the dinner hour. I’m curious as to what the folks who left good reviews are comparing this restaurant to?

Excellent food and friendly staff, always enjoy coming in to eat. I never leave unsatisfied.

We lasted a whole 30 seconds in the restaurant before being treated poorly by the waitress on shift and walking out. My sister had whacked her leg on the table and muttered a curse word barely audible to me standing 3 feet away(knowing there were a few other people around). The waitress without skipping a beat also about 3 feet the other way turns and very rudley tells her to watch her language. Now I can see from her point of view had A. She shouted a curse loud enough for the other customers to hear or B. We had been there longer than 30 seconds and had been rude and unpoite the whole time. But that was not the case at all. Maybe if she had been a bit more polite about it we’d have stuck around to actually eat at the restaurant. If she had said like, hey if you don’t mind just watching your language, things would have been taken a lot differently. We really like this restaurant and do hope the next time we try to eat there we can all at least make it to the table, maybe have a more service friendly waitress.

I have been going to the skyline since I was a little girl as my grandparents are friends with the owner. Today I parked behind the BMO not knowing it belonged to the skyline. Before I even had a chance to get out of my car the waitress came right to my car being ignorant telling me its for skyline customers only. Im not usually one to be disrespectful to my elders but I could not believe the way she was speaking to me. It was a simple mistake and I moved my car. After I had moved my car and went to the bank, I walked by the skyline to go back to my car and she came back outside to argue with me some more. I love the waitress my friends and I always have I believe her name is patsy she is amazing. I will not be returning, was one of my fav breakfast spots! Sad people like this one waitress are making the skyline go down hill! I would also like to make it clear the waitress had NO clue where i was even going because i hadnt even stepped out of my car! Would be a real shame if she did it to someone going to the skyline. I hope she learns how to speak to people.

I love this place and my kids love this place. It's a generational restaurant and thus has invested itself In the community. In a world of modernising ammeneties this place stays true and in doing so saves people money on eating out. The food is exactly what it should be from an old school establishment. It won't last forever I know and it will be a sad day when it ends. Enjoy it while it's here people and quit your whining.
