Having been here twice and trying the 5 course and 7 course meals with the wine pairing, I have to say the experience is incredible. It's very expensive but worth the price for the experience. The wine pairings were PERFECT with the food we were served every time. Service is incredible and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this for any special occasion or if you are looking for a unique experience. The food is very intricate but simple focused, fresh and strong flavours.

I can't say enough great things about George. Having been here twice I can attest to the mastery and creativity of their kitchen staff. We ordered a seven-course tasting menu which was stunning in its complex mixture of flavours. Each meal is an unforgettable experience that practically bathed me in unique combinations of tastes and food synergy. The front of the house might use a bit of polish, but they're quite friendly and generally capable, without a whiff of pretense. Comfortable surroundings and a decent, if not extensive wine list round things out. This restaurant is a Canadian treasure and I'll be returning on a regular basis.

Great restaurant with great food. Had a good time tasting the fusion of flavors on our pescetarian 7 course meal. However felt like there was some overlap with the flavors - nothing too big of a deal, but takes away from the experience. The kitchen is open and you can see the chef lashing out at his staff occasionally. This may be entertaining on TV, but becomes disruptive while we're enjoying our meal and trying to have a conversation. Service was top notch and felt very personal (in a good way).

Hands down, one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The service, the food, our seats, the pace of the tasting menu, the amazing pairings -- everything was impeccable from start to finish. The plates were inventive, beautifully presented but more important than anything else, they were all delicious. What is even more impressive is how well they predicted my preferences! Oh, did I mention we got almost completely different 7-course menus AND pairings? That has never happened in all of the tasting menus I've had and it was amazing. Everything my partner got, I liked less than my own plate. Probably coincidence, but maybe they've got data metrics on this stuff (female vs male preferences??). The one little issue I had with George was our first cocktail upon arrival. They were incredibly overpriced - $9 for half of an Old Fashioned, $18 for the regular sized cocktail. We both got a half size, and it was in a massive cup with a big ice cube with barely an oz. of liquid in the cup. It didn't get cold and the ice cube kept hitting our mouth. Not the best way to serve a half drink. Anyway, everything else more than made up for that but I'm definitely skipping the cocktails next time. Hopefully will return and try the 10 course tasting instead.

Fantastic service, friendly staff and creative food choices. Went with a friend, and we both had the 7 course tasting menu. While I wasn't a fan of everything (personal preference, the food was great, just not to my taste), overall it was an amazing meal. The wine sommelier was so knowledgeable and very helpful.
