I'm a fan of Mandarin. The quality of food is comparable with restaurants, but there's no waiting time which makes it like a fast food. I always liked their food and still do even though I'm vegan now. The only thing that I didn't like about this particular location is that the food wasn't that hot and they were late to replace some empty trays. They also didn't have as many options as some of the other locations. But overall it was good.

Incredible food. Would totally recommend to anyone. The service was great as well. They were attentive and kind, not too fast but they get their job done. Very clean environment and great restroom. The food was incredible and would recommend the tasting menu with all kinds of desserts and food for everyone. Had a great experience. Would totally recommend to anyone. Families, b-day party groups and teens, its a place for you.

I've been going to Mandarin Restaurant for a number of years. Recently I have visited 1027 Finch Ave W location. Is it just me or service level and food variety is declining? Just an example: I have ordered a bottle of wine. OK I got it... but it was simply placed on a table, unopened... I don't believe it is the way to serve the wine. Also I was not impressed with a variety of food. I have seen better Mandarin over 15 years period. There is definitely a room for improvement.

The service was awful. Our table of 18ppl plates were not cleared. We actually had to ask to have our plates cleared after a few times asking with a rude response from the server we ended up putting our empty plates on the empty table close by. (we felt rude doing that) but had no other choice. The food wasn't that great and the server was not friendly at all. The hostesses were awesome but past that hostess stand it went downhill. When we were being asked the ages of the children. The server actually tried to charge us for the 3 infants that were under 6months old as children. Really. They were still drinking from there bottles. Will NEVER go there again.

The food was typical of a Mandarin restaurant. They had a wide selection of desserts and even had spicy chocolate ice cream. Food was alright overall however, their salmon sashimi tasted watered down and was perhaps the worst I've ever tried. The indoor temperature seemed off as at some points it would be freezing and at other points it would be uncomfortably warm. Half way through the seating, the manager came by our table to greet us, she was very nice. In comparison to other Mandarin restaurants, this one was not the best. If you're going for a quick bite and don't care much for service or other aspects then it'll be fine for you.
