I took my daughter here in September 2017 to celebrate her 26th birthday. It is now almost Christmas, and we still talk about the place. The food was excellent. The service was attentive. We ordered lots of food because the menu was simply amazing --- three or four apps, two mains and two desserts. With a couple of glasses of wine for my daughter, and tip, the bill came to about $330. Worth every cent. We will definitely go back. The Prune is right up there with the best restaurants I have enjoyed in Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago and New York.

This pretty little restaurant provides delicious food. Attention is placed on preparing innovative dishes. Some of our food offered surprising combinations of taste and texture. Good service. The restaurant is a peaceful haven, especially after those attending 8:00 p.m. Festival performances clear out.

The Old Prune restaurant was chosen as it was a birthday dinner for 10 people. We were tabled in the bar with no white tablecloths like the rest of the restaurant. The table was long so we couldn't interact with the folks at the other end. The staff was very attentive but the menu was extremely confusing and we were told we all had to either order off the dinner menu or all order off the bar menu. The consensus was to order off the dinner menu. The menu said 28 oz steak for 2. Most of us ordered that. You could either share an appetizer which was included in the price or a dessert. Not both. We were a long time getting our meal and it definitely wasn't what we expected. Our bill came to $1200.00. I did contact the restaurant for an explanation but received no response. We were misled and we won't go back again.

Delicious subtle flavours. Cozy and bright ambience. Thoughtful and welcoming service. Good wine selection. No mega-portions, just good cooking. Thank you for a great experience (again)!

We have dined at The Prune many times over the years, and have always had a superb experience. Our most recent visit was the last evening of the 2016 season. The service was attentive without hovering, and the pacing of both the food and wine service was perfect. The food at The Prune is always elevated without being pretentious, and leaves us satiated but looking forward to our next visit. Can't wait until they re-open in the spring!
