Canadiana Dining Lounge now under new management since early January, 2019 is worth a try! Good food, reasonably priced, and adequate service. Nicer interior due to needed facelift. Plus interesting cultural additions such as recent Brazilian nights (from early February ending early March) featuring Brazilian cuisine was nice added touch! Hours subject to change. Liquor license application under new management pending.

I used to love this place but after closing and re-opening under new management... it's just not the same. The menu has changed and it lacks a meat free breakfast option. Being a vegetarian I find it awkward to be charged the same rate for eggs as others are being charged for bacon and eggs. I also miss the way the home fries were cooked. I remember getting extra side orders of them they were so delicious. I had brought friends and family here in the past and all were wowed with the quality, quantify of the food. I don't feel confident that the same impact would be had today. I also miss the previous staff that came from the neighborhood and made you feel like part of the community. I guess I will just have to settle for a wonderful memory of a neighborhood icon that I was privileged to experience once upon a time. Good luck Canadiana. You need it if you are going to try to win the old regulars back.

The food was terrible. Eggs were supposed to be scrambled, more like an over cooked omelet on the bottom, and watery scramble on top. Toast only toasted on one side. Coffee was like bitter water. Bacon was ok. My friend ordered poached eggs..did not eat them said they were rubbery. Too bad this used to be a good place to go for breakfast. One star given because the waitress was nice. The new owners need to take more care of their food prep.

Not as good since new owners took over. Over priced for inexperienced cook. Very limited menu. Makes you feel like your meals are prepared by a child.

Very disappointed with my two visits to The Canadiana Dining Lounge since the reopening. My first visit was midweek and the restaurant was near empty. There were only four of us. The waitress complained that service would be slow because they were short staffed. The wait for food was very long. We ordered simple lunch dishes. BLT., Salad, Egg sandwich. We had no issues with the food when it finally came. Just the long wait. The second visit was on a Sunday. This time there were seven of us. We all ordered simple egg dishes. The waitress again informed us they were short staffed. We waited TWO hours to get our food. We would have left but the waitress kept telling us we were up next. The restaurant was full and no-one was getting food. It was obvious mayhem in the kitchen. Food was not being delivered to ANY of the tables. I was routing for this restaurant as I was a fan of the old Canadiana for fast, cheap breakfasts. I hope they get their act together but we won't be back.
