I’m not one to typically review a restaurant, unless it’s either a great experience or a terrible. This restraint unfortunately falls under the second option. The hostess was very pleasant, greeting us at the door and promptly seating us, however soon after the service took a turn and never recovered. Our server seemed like she had maybe sampled some of the wine a bit too much prior to the dinner rush, but that was the least of the issues. My dish, the chicken fettuccini Florentine came out with chicken that looked boiled, completely flavorless, as well as the rest of the dish. It was only after drowning the dish in Parmesan and red pepper flakes that I took any enjoyment from the dish, which was VERY minor. Having just driven 13 hours from North Carolina I did eat most of my plate, as I was starving, however I really didn’t enjoy my dinner at this establishment, especially for $22. The one star comes from the fact that they were willing to share their wifi password so that I could get in touch with friends and family on my journey. Maybe a different dish may have swayed my opinion.

I don’t understand some of these low-star reviews. The food and service here are AMAZING! I know for a fact that the restaurant does not use frozen or canned food. It is fresh and locally sourced and you can taste it. I have been here several times over the last couple months and it just gets better and better. The steak is incredible with the pistachio butter they use! And the gnocchi is so soft! Cannot wait to go back! The other restaurants in town use frozen and over fried food, but Cibo doesn’t and they knock it out of the park!

The bread was horrible the I to swallow it with water like a pill. There were a few cracked mussels which concerned me and the bread at the start of the meal came with oil and balsamic but the balsamic was stuck to the bottom. I would not recommend.
