I was highly disappointed in TWH Social - there is so much potential but the service and the meals were not very exceptional. Only upside is drinks were good. Warning: The specials are not full meals! Costly for very very small portions - they did not mention this to us; I was made aware days later. Similar to other reviewer's comments, our waiter was not very friendly, arrogant and acted like he did not have time to wait on us. This may have been because of a communication error on our reservation where our booked time slot did not match the staff's list (my email confirmed that we had arrived appropriately). This really set a poor mood to the dinner as it was a farewell party for a close friend. We all mutually felt like we just needed to have our meal and leave because it was very uncomfortable. We have addressed the situation with TWH Social and we hope that if we return that this does not happen again. There are many other places downtown to consider for good fare and amazing drinks though!

My boyfriend and I booked dinner here based on the recommendation from Centre in the Square. We had high expectations as the restaurant presents itself very well. For starters we ordered the Warm goat cheese & chickpea dip, which was good, but the caprese was a sad excuse of a salad. It was all tomato, and the mozzarella and basil were the size of my thumbnail, it was heavy on the salt and pepper too. For mains I had the grilled salmon, which had no flavour at all. The same issue with the lamb, fall off the bone but no flavour. We ordered the dessert plate and mini dessert, they were good and had flavour. During our visit we were never once told what the specials were, we had to listen in to the servers telling tables around us. Had we made the drive from Guelph just for dinner we would have been highly disappointed, luckily we had a show to see after.

Good menu. Friendly staff. May need reservations for dinner. Good place to take friends and family for casual dinning. They cater to big parties too. Clean washrooms with music playing.

Great place. Food is pretty good. Service is usually great. I would say their is room for a little more pizzazz on the menu. Oysters are incredibly. Gnocchi is incredible. Had a great chicken sandwich with vegan chickpea and tomato at about $15 Nice looking place.

What a surprise to find on a Sunday afternoon! Great spot for brunch - it is situated below ground which may turn some off. The menu is good, well balanced, and the staff very friendly. Absolutely recommend it.
