Staff was friendly and quick. When we first walked in we were concerned about the appearance, it's a bit dated and grungy. If you are comfortable with grungy this place is a gem. The view of the lake is amazing and it's a great view from any seat. The burgers are great but their prime rib is on point! Seriously before you die you need to visit and order their prime rib. They are the restaurant for the hotel so they are open like 8am until 10pm. But if they aren't busy will close up at 9pm. They aren't very busy during the winter season but during summer their patio is perfect for taking in the lake view.

My family of 20 went for Mother’s Day brunch today. It was so horrible I don’t even know where to begin. We had reservations and still had to wait 40 minutes to be seated (although that was nothing compared to other families there who had to wait an hour). When we finally got seated, we had no cutlery and no table cloth. We had to pull another table over ourselves because there wasn’t enough room. We had to hunt down an employee to ask for water and cutlery. People had to wait at the buffet table for clean plates, and when the plates arrived they did not even feel clean. The food was mediocre at best - certainly not worth $30/person. Quite frankly, the only thing this restaurant has going for them is the view.

Food was great! Always love going here! In the summer is better to visit and eat here . Sit out on the patio and watch the boats come in.

Beautiful setting. Food is great.....prime rib, chicken etc. As for the sides superb. Am so tired of my veggie sides being roasted peppers. Had beets, broccoli and white turnip. Divine. Yes, at times, lengthy wait but with the view and great, hot ,bountiful food who cares. The other plus for this restaurant is their low key background music. Sick to death of restaurants where we cannot hear each others conversation. Big plus in my book

We attended the New Year's Eve dinner-dance at the Beacon this past weekend. We had been to the Beacon a few years ago & had a great time. Unfortunately this time not so much. The room itself was cold. Some of the people at our table sat with their winter coats on throughout the evening. For the price paid, the food was sub-par. Drink prices were ridiculously high. $8 for a mixed drink & $7 for a bottle of beer. In the past, pop was free; this time the cost was $2 and seemed to vary throughout the evening. Another guest at our table paid $3 later in the evening. All in all it was very disappointing & must say that it will be our last time attending.
