Great food, great service, you just can't go wrong with Brown's. They consistently do a good job in all areas. My only trouble is with their online reservation site, they require a local English telephone number to make the reservation, not exactly tourist friendly.

If I could give zero stars I would. The food was genuinely some of the worst I have eaten. Browns must be saving a fortune what with not using any salt and pepper on any of their dishes. The water glass on the table had a lipstick stain on, when I asked for a clean one, the waitress didn't even think to apologise. Two of the main courses came a long time after the others and some people had almost finished. Saw the main character from Ratatouille (the rat) scurrying across the floor at around 11pm. It came up from the kitchen and brazenly went across the floor. N.B It wasn't actually a rat but a small mouse. When I told the member of staff his response was "Oh I'm scared of mice". Why this place is so busy is beyond me. And at £50 a head was extortionate.

A great place to eat in the heart of London. The food is delicious and good value. Staff were attentive without being pushy. I would definitely eat there again.

Former Courts building with colonial decor with extensive pub food menu. Chicken Schnitzel was a bit dry but nice home made chips. Very busy before 7pm due to theatre crowd

When someone from outside London says "Let's meet in Covent Garden/Leicester Square" (because they know no better) this is probably one of the best places you're going to find. The venue is impressive inside and out, the drinks menu decent and considering the area, pretty good value. The staff, however, are questionable. The rude bald manager chap shouldn't be working in hospitality. Probably more suited to a job away from customers or people in general. Maybe farming? Also, one of the barmen was creepy AF. (The chap at the door was nice, but I must assume he was from an outsourced security company).
