it always has good food. the quality is better than any other Indian restaurant in the area. I am finicky about taste and quality. I have lived in many places in India and can differentiate good food. And over the past 10 years that I am eating at this restaurant. it's held its consistency. also I have never got sick eating here. the other Indian places in the area I got sick n stopped going. so the host does not recycle food. also staff are friendly and genuine.

As always, the staff are super. The food continues to be excellent and the decor very comfortable and inviting. Great date resto! On my last visit, we did a surprise dinner for a friend who is gluten intolerant. While not a "gluten free kitchen", they took great care in ensuring his food was prepared safely and with their standard high quality (talk to the manager beforehand, to be sure). I have visited The Host for over 20 years now and am pleased that I enjoy it now as much as the first time.

Over priced. Lacks value, small portions. Great fast service but not impressed with the flavours. Had better Indian food at less prestigious locations. Wouldn't return. Best thing about the meal was the garlic naan.

Lackluster service and mediocre food. The prices have crept up, but the quality of the food hasn't. First, as we walked in, no one greeted us. We just stood around waiting for someone to approach us and offer us a table. Nobody did. Eventually flagged down one of three servers and were seated. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh. Both dishes were disappointing. The lamb was tough and gristly, and not fork tender as I would have expected. The chicken on the other hand was more dry and crumbly, instead of moist. The only standout was the Nan.

Good Indian food but very expensive, yet I see it's always busy no matter what day of the week. The service is ok. The staff is not very warm or welcoming. I always take away food. We tried dine in at different occasions and was not impressed by the service. Hence 5 star for food but 2 for service and 3 for the price.
