Visited here for the first time while on vacation from NYC. My husband and I loved the food. We had jerk chicken, rice and peas, with oxtail gravy and a side of festival. Delicious. We even ordered some to go. Definitely recommend you give Potluck a try. You will not be disappointed. Big shout-out to Sharon.

I’ve been here 4 times and gotten the jerk chicken dark with rice /oxtail sauce and even tried the fried plantain. The food is consistent - jerk was moist, plantain yummy, but rice is clumpy and sometimes overdone. I’m giving 3 stars because the service is slow and you won’t get nothing more than a hi. I’ve also been there when another customer complained saying she had been waiting for a particular dish for so long and then when she came back they again had none. Then the lady packing her dumplings took so long that the customer just got fed up waiting and left. Lastly , the place could be cleaner. The glass door to the bathrooms is so dirty that when you walk in all you see are smears and prints and it just doesn’t look good

The food was decent as best, the coleslaw was lacking in its vinaigrette, the oxtail was fabulously flavorful and the rice was rice. my biggest issue and main reason that I will not be returning nor will I be recommending to friends is the service is absolutely atrocious. neither workers were customer oriented, their portions are very much biased towards black folks. I ordered the exact same thing as the gent behind me and he actually received 2 extra scoops of the oxtail. when confronted about it she said "well if you're not happy then leave". So if you can close your eyes, ignore the horrendous service and attitude of the employees, you can get decent food at an expensive price.

Been going to potluck for years. You still can’t find cleaner chicken then they use anywhere for Jamaican food. One of the only Jamaican places I order white meat from. The food here is next to none and jerk chicken meal for 10$ is by far the best 10$ meal in the CITY. Potlucks coleslaw I promise you would become world wide success if it was packaged up and sold. Always order extra !
